We are the Surplus family. Someday, when I've lost 20 pounds and can get all of my children together for a really funky, cool, picture of peace and solitude, I'll post that here.
In the meantime, just imagine me thin and serene and we'll call it good.
While I'm really the only person who'll update this page, the work crew here is composed of:
Clint: My super cool husband who, when he's not helping me eke out chump change on our farm, is busting his hump making our real living training horses. It's pretty cool to be married to the neatest, God-loving guy you know, who is also a hottie and works with horses! (I always tell him that I don't know what he did in his past to deserve getting saddled with me, but I'm glad for it!)
Our four children still at home: also known as slave labor.
Me: Tired, middle aged mama to 7 children. I love growing food. And sewing. And my family. And God. I blog about Him here.
We live smack dab in the middle of Oregon - where both my husband and I were born and raised! We are passionate about living naturally and being as self-sustaining as possible. We're also passionate about making good food available at reasonable prices.
That's what this blog is about.
